ULTRAKILL

ULTRAKILL (intentionally pronounced with all caps) is a high-intensity run and gun shooter that follows a war machine fueled by blood terrorizing its way through the seven layers of Hell as described in Dante's Inferno, following the extinction of humanity.

The "Protagonist"

The main character you play as, a robot simply titled V1, is a war machine developed during a far extended World War 1, where peace was never made, and each side kept making stronger and deadlier machines of mass destruction, with V1 intended on being the strongest to date, before the model was shut down following the war finally ending.

The Descent

Some time after the war ended, a time period known as the "New Peace" was declared, making a period of brief prosperity between all people. At some point during this period, a mass excavation was made into the earth, and what was found were the numerous gates of Hell. An unknown amount of time after this, all remaining humans on earth died off with seemingly no trace, leaving the blood-powered machines remaining. With the only blood sources left to be found in each other, and what lies on the other side of the gates.
